Retro Retreat by the Bay

Quaint yet spacious property with unbeatable views! Sarah has been attentive and always ready to help if needed. The property itself came stocked with all the basics that you might need. I only wished this unit had a washer/dryer like the one downstairs, but it was a small drawback that I can dismiss since the rest of my stay there was pleasant. Would definitely come back again!

When loved every minute of our stay. The appartment is lovely. It was perfect in every way. The place was nice and warm when we arrived. It had been stormy when we first arrived but it cleared up just before we had to rush our luggage up stairs. It had all the modern conveinces. We stayed in for most of the time we were there. Did some reading. Played scrabble. And made most of our meals in room. We have recommeded this place to my son and his wife they will be celibrating there anniversary at the end of this month.

Perfect for a couple. Short walk to the beautiful, beachy bay! Extremely clean inside with a vintage charm. We love this place and definitely will be back again and again. Apartment stocked with amenities and household items. Extremely friendly staff. Sarah is great!

So relaxing and close to everything I want. The kitchen is well stocked for cooking and baking. Just secluded enough and quiet.

We've been coming to the Retro Retreat by the Bay for a few years. We love this spot and the hospitality. It's a cozy place no matter what the weather, and we love that you can walk to Schooners or Seaworthy Coffee. We'll be back!

We spent a full week, and felt right at home. We were a few minutes walk from the beach and a great restaurant/bar called the Schooner. We enjoyed checking out tide pools and picking up dinner on the walk home to enjoy our dinner with our lovely view.

Feels remote, but it's only 12 minutes from Tillamook and a stone's throw from Cape Lookout and other great coastal parks and towns.

Additionally, the kitchen was well equipped and the host was extremely responsive and eager to help - I broke our French press and they hand delivered a new one lickety split.

This was our home base for exploring the coast and enjoying the ocean, and we couldn't have asked for better!

Wonderful view, comfortable accommodations. Furniture is a bit worn but was functional.

Cozy and nicely decorated. Good location. We had the wrong lockbox code upon arrival however management was quick to get us the correct one. Would recommend for couple.

This is a lovely spot—the unit is full of charming antique touches, the view is amazing and you can walk into town or up to a nearby restaurant. Highly recommend.

Retro retreat is the cutest beach getaway ever. We loved sitting and watching the boats in the bay. What a view! The apartment is spotless and Sarah was close by is we needed anything but we didn’t. We will be back!

The property was just as expected. Comfortable and clean. Bed was comfortable, plenty of pillows, etc. Kitchen had everything we needed. The beach is very sparsly populated, if you plan to take long walks, check the tides, as you can get caught out. We brought our dog but brought along a big blanket to throw over the sofa so he could snuggle. Sarah and Co. were very accessible and allowed for late check out, no problem. The only things I think to mention are both about the large window you see in photo. Afternoon sun will heat up the room considerably. If you are sensitive to heat, you may want to bring a couple of fans, as there was only one and it was pretty gentle. I know it's probably hard to do, but I think keeping windows really clean on both sides is key, since people stay here for the view. That could have used a bit of work but all around, everything was as expected and very enjoyable. I highly recommend dining at the Schooner on the beach. It was one of the best meals I've had in a long time and the outdoor space is nice and has heaters. My BF had seafood stew and I had soba noodles with veggies, no meat needed. Lots of food and we both still wanted to lick our plates. I'd come again just to eat at the Schooner, it was that good.

Beautiful view. Sat and watched the sunset until it got dark. Great location. After watching the sunset we walked to The Schooner Restaurant for great sea food and drinks.

We had a wonderful relaxing stay. The place is very cozy and comfortable. The view is spectacular. We celebrated our 40th anniversary there and thought it was the perfect little hideaway to enjoy that special day. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to get away and relax.

It was a great quick get away for myself and my husband. The views were great. Everything we needed was in the apartment. Great spot to explore the Oregon coast.

This is one of our favorite places we have ever stayed. Has a lot of old school charm and not a boring cheap boring big box remodel. Beautiful view. Loved the knotty wood interior. It had everything we needed for a relaxing vacation. Property manager was prompt and helpful at fixing a minor issue.

The stay was a disappointment. WiFi was not working, the GUIDE button on the TV was not working, and the lighting in the unit was so poor I couldn’t read at night no matter where I sat. I tried to reach the individuals who could assist us and did not get any help. Monica, the manager, has given us a low rating and felt I had been untruthful in my attempts to reach out to them. I will never use Shore Thing again because of her unpleasant customer service style. What a shame this has been.

We loved this little oasis by the bay! It is in a perfect location, with easy access to water activities in the bay such as kayaking, paddle boarding and crabbing and also beach walking along the open ocean all the way to Oceanside. The views from the bay window are also spectacular. It was so nice to drink our morning coffee while watching the crab boats in one direction and the big waves in the other. This property captures the essence of a beach cottage with up to date amenities. It is clean and everything was in good working order. Management was super helpful and very friendly. We will definitely be back. This was one of the most enjoyable beach vacations we've had!

We loved our stay at the Retro Retreat! It was perfect for our needs. It is affordable, clean, quiet, has a beautiful view, deer in the back yard almost every afternoon, and the weather was beautiful. In fact, we were sad when it was time to leave. We would love to come back again sometime.

We really loved this unit! It has a spectacular view, is quiet and Is perfectly located for beautiful Netarts. The unit was spotless and the property manager was very helpful and provided prompt communication. I really loved the bed. It was comfortable. Thank you for a great weekend we would definitely stay here again.

Our little apartment couldn't have been more charming! Super clean, with everything you'd need for a weekend! Bed was super comfy, giant TV with great cable and internet. View was amazing and the walk down to the ocean is easy. We will definitely stay here again! Thanks for the late check out too, that was fantastic! Beautiful views. Well equipped so all I had to do was show up and stock the refrigerator. Comfortable cozy and utterly restfully delightful.

The little cabin like place was a real treat! The place was real cozy and comfortable. It had all the amenities you would need. My daughter and son-in-law stayed in the upstairs unit and absolutely loved it! The views, upstairs and downstairs were awesome. One thing I truly enjoyed was the bed - I have not slept in such a comfortable bed in years (wish I could've brought it with me.) My daughter said their bed was the same also. In fact, my daughter and her husband are thing about staying in the upstairs again this coming March 2019 for their anniversary.

What a great place to reboot the mind and body. Very peaceful and quiet. Deer and bunnies roamed the yard. Watched the crabbers from the huge front windows.

We booked this place with another couple and were pleasantly surprised at how cozy it was! It has all the amenities, we went crabbing and came home and ate it there at the house. Plus you can walk to the Schooner, love that place!
