Garner's Getaway

My family loved the time spent in Garner’s Getaway. It has an excellent view of the bay and ocean. You feel like you are on the beach while in the house.
The living area is on the top floor so the sunsets were amazing. The unit was vey clean and well stocked. The house manager was easily accessible and made our stay comfortable.
We spent Thanksgiving weekend there so there was a lot of cooking going on and all the accouterments needed were there. The home easily accommodates 8 people with seating, dishes, and linens. Beds for 6 adults but the couch is big enough to put a couple kids. The house is very family friendly with games, puzzles, and movies. There are two decks and a BBQ with everything you need for grilling a steak. One thing I loved were the heated floors! The one down side for me were the stairs. There is a steep set getting up to the first floor and another steep set getting to the top floor. If you have mobility issues you might rethink this one. I definitely would recommend a stay here and we hope to go back.

Great View. Very low water pressure - had to take very short showers. Washing dirty pans was not a breeze. Doing the laundry was also not easy - the washer would get limited water and there was a projection in the dryer that would snag onto clothes. The view and the kitchen appliances were fine. It was just the water pressure - anything to do with the water was a chore.

It was great to stay , quiet ,comfortable , easy beach access.

Garner's Getaway has stunning views and great proximity to the beach. All the essentials on hand and great family gathering place. Lots of stairs to climb so not for the physically challenged. Highly recommend.

Garner’s Getaway is a fantastic rental with a spectacular view. The location is perfect, right across from beach access. It’s away from the bustle of city life, but with access to a few restaurants nearby.

It was a very stormy weekend and we enjoyed watching the storms roll in and out. We had enough small breaks in the weather to get our dogs to the beach and we did a short hike at Cape Meares. We were happy to have a house that allowed our furry friends.

We were able to cook meals and found everything we needed. In the evenings we had a fire and played some cards.

The home was clean upon arrival, and we found it to be stocked and comfortable. We had a wonderful time and would definitely recommend this house to friends and family.

I love this house. The 175 degree view ( floor to ceiling windows) of the bay and ocean is fantastic. I could just stare out of the windows all day. When one stays in the winter you never know what you are going to get with the weather. It's a daily surprise. The kitchen is complete with everything I need to cook nightly including a crock pot for making a winter soup. Lots of pots and pans options. The coffee pot is cheap and does not go off automatically like mine at home. So don't leave the house with the coffee pot on :) I love the granite counter tops. There are so many different cups, mugs glass to choose from. I love the wide selection of wine and champagne glasses. Thank you. The whimsical coffee cups are a joy in the morning. The beautiful dining room table seats a crowd; it also doubled nicely as my desk as I am in Tillamook County for work. There is no bathroom upstairs so one must descend to use the WC. You will get your steps in staying at Garners.
I like having the bedrooms downstairs, so the rooms get dark at night. the master bed has seen better days and it might be time for a replacement. The bathrooms are basic with no room for my makeup or toiletries. I am here for work, so I appreciate a rental with hangers for my work clothes. All in all I was very comfortable. Sarah is the best hostess/ property manager ever!!!

The proximity to the beach, is amazing. The neighborhood is quiet and charming. Would I stay here again?...I would but I might bring a cozy blanket and try the bedroom without the attached bathroom to see if the other bed was more pleasant. Main one is squeaky. Oh, and bring really supportive cozy slippers- concrete floors is perfect for this setting but hard on the feet!

Drove up to the great home. Had to wait about 20 minutes to get in. Home was beautiful and well equipped. Chose this place for crabbing in the bay. Kitchen had all the supplies we needed to cook/prepare the days catch for 8. Beds very comfortable and nice that bathrooms next to beds on same level. Walking up steps and turn into kitchen the view of ocean is breathtaking. Highly recommend and would definitely come back!

We loved our stay at the beach house. It was a special place to spend a family vacation. It was clean, easy access to the beach, and had beautiful views!

Awesome location for watching waves and wildlife! Home was clean, rental company communication was amazing and beds were comfy! Only complaint was that the master bedroom and bathroom were very dark, even in the daytime.

The home was perfect for a family of 7 - great space in that upstairs is wide open with wonderful views of the ocean and bay, and the bottom floor has the bedrooms for some peace and quiet! Less than a minute walk to a great beach for activities. Would highly recommend!

Our group of 6 with a dog had a very restful stay. Sarah is exceptionally hospitable. We really like the bay view and ocean view. Well-designed floor plan with all bedrooms located in the same floor. Showers are great. One bed is too soft and a space heater did not work. Although the staircase is a bit steep to walk, with care, it is still worth the climb to enjoy the spectacular view! We will return!

My Mom and I stayed here for 3 nights for some relaxing mother daughter time. We really enjoyed this house! We got everything from snow to sunshine and could watch it all form the living room. The house was clean and well stocked. The layout is good and the beds were comfortable. It's also right across from the beach access.

Great house in great location in Netarts

Awesome views! This house was perfect for our family.

Absolutely wonderful location. Directly on the beach with views of the sunset. Turn left and you can easily walk into downtown Netarts to hit the grocery store or grab dinner at the local pub. Turn right and you can walk along the beach for miles. Check in/out was a breeze and the renter was very easy accommodating to us. Would recommend!

The view is hard to beat. Perfect home for a family, or two couples for a get away, as long as stairs are not an issue. We had an issue with the range while we were there, this is the only thing that kept me from rating this even higher.

This property has a view like no other. With floor to ceiling windows, there is a spectacular panoramic view of Netarts Bay and the ocean. Located at the very end of the street (closest to the beach), we could walk right out to the sand. We came for the clamming and Netarts did not disappoint. Sarah (from Shore Thing) was very helpful, personable, and responsive to text messages. The interior of the house was nice and clean, especially the upstairs living area where there are multiple places to sit and relax. The kitchen wares are on the older side and could use updating. Also, it is inconvenient to not have a bathroom on the main living floor. But overall, this is a lovely property that made for a very memorable trip for our family of 4!

Garner’s Getaway was exactly as described. A great location, only 15 minutes from Tillamook, the view from the house is stunnng. We loved the fact that there weren’t many people on the beach. The communication was great and the house was clean. We highly recommend Garner’s Getaway.

We stayed at this house for a few days when my daughter got married on the coast. All of the families rented houses on this street and it was the best! Our house was clean and provided great access to the beach. The views from the top level can't be beat.

This house is great! It's at the end of the line and provides incredible views. The kitchen was well stocked with quality pans and knives. For us, the only thing lacking was a tea kettle. Beds were comfortable. We had a great stay filled with good meals, long beach walks, and reading by the fire. We'll happily come back here again

Six 75 year olds spent 4 days at Garners. Views, ocean, location, equipment all were as advertised. We enjoyed our stay very much. The steep stairs and utilitarian bedrooms were a struggle. The beds are low and there is not much room. Bathrooms and kitchen were fine.

The house is clean, spacious and beautiful! You can see the amazing view of the bay and ocean through multiple windows, plus a full length balcony. You can see out the windows when lounging, dining or cooking in a well-equipped kitchen. Really loved this place!

We had a very comfortable nice stay at the Garner's Getaway. Sarah was super responsive to our small requests and reassured us that she was available if we had any more. One precaution - if you have anyone with issues climbing stairs - there's no BR on the main upper living level.

I'm reluctant to say how wonderful this house is, because I'd like it to always be free for me to come here. This is the vacation place to end all vacation places. Beautiful. Serene. Perfect.

I had a great stay, loved the location. It was perfect!

We absolutely enjoyed our stay. This is the second Shore Thing rental we’ve stayed in. There were a few improvements that could be done to make the house perfect. Kitchen didn’t have great cookware. And the pillows on beds were very flat. The location makes these things small inconveniences. We would definitely stay here again!

great experience. We learned we could Crab from the beach and enjoyed fresh crab a couple of the nights for dinner. Beautiful view.

This was perfectly located on a quiet beach with easy access to great hikes and agate hunting and nice shops and food. So relaxing to have that view! what more could we need?!

We were so thrilled with the views from the living room at Garner's Getaway! The pictures do not lie; they views are astounding. The home was perfect with easy access to walk on the bay for miles. The home was stocked well with everything we needed. The tile on the floor was wonderful for the dog in our party.

This rental was just as described - bright, clean and well stocked! It is just across the street (a pretty chill dead end) from the beach. You can watch the kids while they play! Only thing to note is that there is no bathroom on the floor with the kitchen and living room. The management is communicative and accommodating. Great experience!

I was disappointed in the overall rundown condition and cleanliness of the home we stayed in. The location was great and the staff was very helpful but I probably would not return or recommend this rental to any of my family or friends.

We had a great time at Garner's Getaway! The view and open living area were fabulous and a perfect way to hang out with our adult children. There are two full flights of stairs to get to the living area so this could be a challenge for tiny kids or older adults but it worked for our family. If you are a fan of non-stick cookware, bring your own. There is a good selection of pans but they require more time to clean - I'd rather be on the beach! Beds were comfortable, bathrooms very sufficient. We enjoyed the location being slightly on the bay and slightly on the ocean - great wildlife and interesting walks. Thank you!

I stayed here with my siblings and little nephew (20 months old) for the weekend and everything was perfect! INCREDIBLE view! Very clean! So close to the beach. Definitely recommend this location and this home!

We had a fun weekend at Garner's Getaway, enjoying even the rainiest day with breathtaking views of the ocean and ample space to play. The place was clean, the kitchen was well-equipped, and Sara provided us with amazing, timely customer service. We definitely plan to return to this wonderful place.

An adequate beach rental. Shop worn around the edges. Cook ware needs attention. Terrific location and view! Shore Thing is easy to deal with and very helpful.

Beautiful, well equipped, comfortable home. Everything was as described. We enjoyed a reunion of college friends and families and Garner's Getaway was the perfect setting. Property was well equipped and managed.

We had a great stay here. Accommodated 5 adults comfortably. The management communicated really well about checking in and what to expect at the house. The location cannot be beat, as you're at the end of a quiet road right across from the beach. House is well-stocked with towels, toiletries, and kitchen utensils, too. Would stay here again!

Our time spent here was quiet and relaxing. The view every day was amazing and changed as the weather quickly changed. It was fun to watch the tide roll in and out and watch the clammers, the seals and the mist roll in and out each day. It was just a short walk to the beach. The property wasn’t as clean as others I have stayed in. Crumbs in the drawers and the pillows on the couches were dirty, from simple overuse. Also the chairs in the dining room were dirty and one was broken. The bathrooms however were very clean as well as the bedrooms. It felt as if we were staying at a friends house who lives there, rather than a rental property. The tv screen was dirty with little fingerprints. On the other hand, if you have little kids this place would be great. It’s very equipped with little bowls, plastic cups and lots of games. Not much to destroy in this house. A lot of seating for chillin out on a gloomy afternoon. Or if you’re lucky, lots of windows for sun to shine in and warm you up. Loved the shampoo and body wash in the bathrooms and also the access to laundry. I would probably not stay here again, due to the layout of the house and the master bed being basically on the ground. Master didn’t have any where to store clothing other than closet so had to put my suitcase at the bottom fo the stairs to access my clothes. We enjoyed the beach, the lighthouse, Tillamook Farm, driving to Manzanitas as, and the local hiking. Beautiful area.

We stayed at this house with 4 little kids (2,3,4,5)! The beach was just a quick walk across the street and as you can see the pictures, the view is AMAZING! I would have loved to be right on the beach, but it's pretty darn close.
The kitchen had everything we needed as a BBQ, it's not a gas BBQ. You might have to bring bbq briquettes.

Great location it was very relaxing and quiet. The rental was clean and comfortable. I will book again.

My family enjoyed a lovely weekend at Garner's Getaway. We experienced all sorts of weather from pounding rain to bright sunshine all of which were more interesting with the amazing view of the bay. House had everything we needed and was super quiet. We will definitely be back!

The house was comfortable and quiet. It had all of the amenities we needed. The kitchen/dining/family room was great for everyone to gather, eat and play games.

Other than a few lightbulbs not working in the light fixtures, the house was great. Had a wonderful time with my 3 boys, their wives/girlfriend & my grandson.

I had friends visiting out of town and we were committed to staying at the coast despite a terrible storm on it's way. We discovered ABC Cabin online and had to book. As we were driving out to the coast, we sadly found out that our rental had maintenance problem, but without any stress involved Monica saved the day by hooking us up with a replacement rental called Garner's Getaway... UM, AMAZING!! We had a perfect view of the stormy ocean with the large beach front windows and even managed to catch a sunset! Ended up having one of the best weekends of my life and didn't want to leave Garner's Getaway.

Very pleasant. As advertised. The rental agent was very, very reliable and helped make the experience perfect. The location is very good. We've stayed twice across the street, on the beach, but this was almost as good, or even better in some ways, because you got a different/better view, and you don't have to walk to the end of the street to get to the beach. You just walk across.

Amazing views, long beach walks and a fantastic house to relax, cook your own meals, read, nap in the sun and hear the ocean pound, play hard and enjoy being with friends and family. Local management was quick to respond with excellent resolutions. Only thing was our time was not long enough!

This was the perfect place for our family on Father's Day weekend. Spacious and a gorgeous view. Kitchen was well-equipped. Washer and dryer.
It's also on a dead end street so not a lot of traffic. Would definitely stay here again!

The location was perfect and the house was delightful and bright. The house was well stocked and had everything we needed. We would definitely stay here again. There is a bit of up and down stair travel so that should be considered for less mobile guests.

The owners were very accommodating and responded very quickly to every email, text and call. We had a beautiful, sunny weekend to make it even better.
